CEMSUN is a registered Ghanaian Non-Profit, Non Governmental Organization (NGO) which operates by Civic Engagement; in that, CEMSUN liases with Governmental and Donor Agencies, NGOs and Local Communities to address/tackle important and pertinent issues of Global, National and Local Concern.
CEMSUN aims at assisting deprived and needy children in underserved Rural Community Basic Schools as well as Schools for Special Populations such as the Physically Challenged to be integrated into the world of ICT.
This is through ensuring that such populations have access to much needed support in the form of Computers, Computer Training and other relevant Information, Education and Communication Materials to enhance effective teaching and learning, as well as accurate and adequate knowledge and information on issues such as Public Health (particularly HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and most recently, Covid-19), Adolescent Reproductive Health, the Climate Crisis and the Just Energy Transition.
This is to empower the target populations to:

Be more competitive in this fast-changing 21st Century of Information Technology

have a strong basis to fairly compete with their counterparts in more endowed urban community schools for school and job placements, scholarships etc. after completion of their basic education program.

prevent them from contracting Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) or becoming victims of Teenage Pregnancies, through equipping them with more accurate information and knowledge, as well as more assertive preventive skills

practice healthy lifestyles that better protect them from endemic diseases like Malaria and Tuberculosis

make use of more accurate knowledge and practical skills acquired to develop a strong emotional commitment to protecting our planet, Earth

acquire basic information about the Just Energy Transition to be able to access the vast opportunities available to them in this area. An introduction and exposure to practical lessons on renewable energy technologies will better equip them to take up jobs in a fast-growing as well as lucrative energy sector, in the very near future.
